Connecting with Chicago State University Students and Alumni

Thank you for your interest in hiring Chicago State University students and alumni. We are pleased to assist you in meeting your recruiting needs and look forward to working with you. The Career Development Center provides potential employers a number of ways to connect with our students and alumni while raising awareness of their organization and building excitement around current opportunities.

We invite your organization to:

• Post career, internship, and volunteer opportunities to our online job board utilizing the form here.
• Participate in Fall and Spring Career & Internship Fairs (Virtual until further notice). 
• Conduct career readiness workshops (i.e. Resume Writing, LinkedIn Profile Creation, Interviewing, etc.). 

Hire-A-Cougar

1. Submit the position description to the Career Development Center here.
2. Career Development staff will vet the info, post the opportunity to our online job board, and forward it to college workforce partners (Deans, Academic Chairs, etc.) for referrals. 
3. We ask that organizations aid our tracking efforts by completing the electronic form of new CSU submittals that are emailed monthly.
4. Career Development Center sends out a congratulatory announcement to the entire CSU community.

Virtual Employer Insights

Employer Insights give students an opportunity to hear from our employer partners regarding their recruitment process for college graduates. Employers are encouraged to share best practices for applying to their organization while providing some tips to ensure students are successful in the job or internship search.

The Career Development Center records these virtual sessions and posts them to our YouTube Channel.
